The month of February is devoted to Love, and to the women in our world who have so effortlessly led, protected, and provided for us. As Greyson prepares to launch our first women's collection later this year, inspiration is drawn from these powerful women who successfully do it all, have  it all, and work incredibly hard to keep it all together. This woman, who we all know, is the woman who these clothes will be designed for. This month is devoted to unveiling all the subtle yet incredibly inspiring ways they move through their days, sometimes quietly, but always as a force to  be reckoned with.

"A valuable lesson I’ve learned over the years is that sometimes you have to walk through the dark to get to the light. Darkness isn't wrong or bad. It is scary, yes, but it is also a part of life. I don’t think I know anyone who likes the concept of being vulnerable. Allowing ourselves to be fully vulnerable allows us to grow, strengthen and ultimately evolve. And being that vulnerable takes a tremendous amount of courage. I would know.

I remember it like it was yesterday, leaving my 10 year job at Ralph Lauren, having my first baby, and jumping into a start-up company. When Charlie first approached me about starting Greyson, I knew what we would be giving up — security, benefits, money, vacations, comfort, etc. But still, I was all in. I never had any doubts. I still don’t. That is not to say it is easy...quite the opposite. We were taking a huge risk and we were leaving ourselves completely vulnerable in all the ways I mentioned above. It was scary. It is scary. 

During the process of launching Greyson, I was navigating being a new Mom and managing our home that was Greyson HQ. Overnight, our home became the office, design center, showroom and shipping center. I was doing my best to keep my head above water while Charlie was hustling and traveling nonstop trying to make Greyson work. The sacrifices were intense. And as a result, I was left alone a lot while trying to be the best new mom possible with postpartum and a supportive wife. None of this has been without great challenges or stressors but I would never change any of it because it has made me who I am today. It has made me stronger as a parent, better as a person, and more courageous in my decisions. I have learned that my vulnerability can be my strength. I have been blessed with that especially through this process.  As we continue to grow, the future only becomes that much more exciting and I am able to look forward knowing that all the hard work is worth it."

About Cece: After working her way to fashion editor at Condé Nast, Cece’s love of fashion pulled her into the design world. She moved to Ralph Lauren, where she thrived as a Senior Concept Designer for almost 10 years. It was at Ralph Lauren that Charlie and Cece met. Love, commitment, and mutual passion for design has been the basis of their life together. Raising their family and their steadfast commitment to Greyson is their life's work.
